Morris Alabama is a family-oriented community established in 1885.

The city, with a population of approximately 2259 is part of a growing area in North Jefferson County. Several recently developed subdivisions and new businesses have added to the town’s growth.

Morris has small town rustic ambience with the natural beauty of Turkey Creek and surrounding hills as well as several parks in the area.

Morris offers the comfort and safety of a small town lifestyle.  Full police protection, fire protection by Morris Fire & Rescue, and sanitation services are available to all residents.

High performing schools, a golf course and driving range, and active churches contribute to the appealing lifestyle. Youth sports are a big part of the community and well supported by families and residents.

While it is a quiet area, Morris has an advantageous location with easy access to I-65 and situated only 20 miles north of downtown Birmingham.

Morris is home to the William E. Burkett Multi-Handicapped Center for Jefferson County students. Children in the Morris area are zoned for Bryan Elementary, North Jefferson Middle School, and Mortimer Jordan High
